The Language of Mustafa Salik's Poetry

Abstract

Poetry is an expressive form that arises from the arrangement of words. Naturally, poetic language is beautiful and captivating. Every poet strives to write poems that will attract readers, but it is also evident that a poem can only have readers if its language is simple, fluid, and sweet, allowing it to resonate with the hearts and minds of its audience. When discussing influence, this is closely related to the poet's thought and creativity. The title of this article is "The Language of Mustafa Salik's Poetry" because he is a thoughtful and innovative poet of the Pashto language. Reading his works not only quenches the literary thirst of readers but also enriches their knowledge. In this article, I have selected verses from his poetry collections that feature both linguistic beauty and exquisite poetic constructions, phrases, and terms. Through this study, readers will become familiar with poetic language. My aim is to analyze the characteristics, literary style, and themes of Salik's poetic language. This research employs a descriptive method, and the type of study is liberarian. Salik's poetry reflects thoughts on nature, love, and human experiences, establishing a unique emotional and experiential connection with readers. As a conclusion, it can be said that his poems present a fresh and captivating depiction of emotions and experiences. His poetry focuses on various aspects of life, such as love, pain, hope, mysticism, and social issues. In addition to his poetry, Mr. Salik has contributed numerous artistic prose works to Pashto literature, providing invaluable services to the Pashto language and its literary heritage.
